Nevada Lithium CEO Stephen Rentschler joined Steve Darling from Proactive to share news regarding the company's Bonnie Claire lithium project.
Nevada Lithium has initiated a sonic drilling program as part of its ongoing work program that began in the summer of 2023. The company is planning to conduct a Pre-Feasibility Study in 2024.
Rentschler explained that the sonic drilling program will commence with two initial vertical holes, each up to 700 feet in depth. The drilling will be carried out using a Boart Longyear LX60 track-mounted sonic drill.
The overall work program is designed to investigate geotechnical rock properties and basin fluid flow within the strata at Bonnie Claire.
The primary focus of the program is on aquifer testing and geotechnical characterization. This will involve drill logging and borehole geophysical procedures to identify suitable intervals for straddle-packer pumping testing. Pumping tests will measure hydraulic connections within the strata and determine the production rates of groundwater for selected intervals.
This drilling program is a significant step forward in Nevada Lithium's efforts to assess the geology and hydrogeology of the Bonnie Claire lithium project. The information gathered from these tests will be crucial for the development of the project and the forthcoming Pre-Feasibility Study.
